RULES
1. Rider may either go right or left around the
first barrel, but must make two left turns and one right turn
or two right and one left turn.
2. Knocking over a barrel will be a five second penalty.
3. No two contestants are allowed to ride the same horse during
the same go-round. They both will be disqualified.
4. No contestant may have any help from anyone after they have
crossed to starting line.
5. A contestant will be disqualified if they come back across
the line before they finish the pattern.
6. If the horse falls or similar incident occurs, contestant cannot
have rerun.
7. No contestant will be allowed a practice run after each performance
starts.
8. Committee decisions are final.
9. All contestants shall wear long sleeved shirts, hats, boots
and jeans or slacks.
10. Prior to the performances, the barrels shall not be set on
the stakes or markers.
11. If the electric eye malfunctions, you may take your hand flagged
time, or you may rerun with the electric eye, but you must decide
before you know your hand time. All reruns will take any penalties
with them.
12. Owner may enter and ride more than one horse. Owners do not
have to ride their horse, either male or female rider is allowed.
There is no age limit on the rider.
13. Maturity/Derby horses may not be entered in the Futurity.
